Vote Early if Allowed- Jim The Trucker Says So
by Jim on Nov.01, 2008, under Front Page news
Now it’s the weekend and we all have a bit of a chore and duty to perform. If your state allows it, go out and plan to get in that line to do your civic duty and vote. If you are a transportation worker like me, then you will be getting that electronic vote filled out and sent in. The Obama camp has a ground game like none other in recent memory. We must stand up for our country and be heard no matter how many left wingers want to jeer us or make fun of our voting choices. Mr. Obama jeered at Joe the plumber, and snickers at him. We all could see his attitude when speaking about him. All Joe did was ask a simple question about how his taxes would be raised and used.
With the Democrats waffling as to what the ceiling forĀ “middle class” will be, I want to know what tax bracket I would be placed in. I own my own business. I do not feel with all we owner operators out here have to do to keep in business and profitable that we should be further burdened with higher “patriotic” taxes. That does not make me selfish, just mad as heck. The oil companies and speculators have made a killing on us, the American Truck Driver. I want to see some real reform in that area. A fair business profit is the American way. Not bending Lady Liberty over and giving her a real hosing. She is hollering NOOO..no means no. Call 911 and break out the rape kit. When we pay record fuel prices then all that is passed on to you the American consumer. That means higher prices in stores for the basics like bread and milk and filling up the tank to try to even get to the store.
We have seen recent falling of fuel prices, it adds relief but for how long? When will the next round of gouging come into play? How much of this can we take? So many companies went belly up, some had been around for 50 years. This kind of problem needs to go away. We need real reform and not just fancy speeches and lip service. I did just fine with income until we saw a Democrat controlled Congress, we do not need a trifecta with all the main branches of Government controlled by all Democrats. We need some balance in there, two checks and balances to be exact. Give us two Mavericks who will stop the B.S. with fuel prices and get us to an even playing field. That would be the McCain Palin ticket.
I’m Jim the Trucker and I approved this message..
